Hot lemon with rosemary and honey

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 organic lemons
  • 700 ml water
  • 2 large rosemary sprigs
  • 3 tsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Makes 3 glasses of approx. 200 ml each

Slice the rinsed lemons, place them in a pot, and add the water. Place both rosemary sprigs in the water and cover with the lid. Heat everything on low heat; do NOT allow the liquid to boil. Let it steep for 1 hour, until the flesh of the lemon slices separates from the peel. Remove the peel and rosemary sprigs from the lemon water. The hot lemon is now ready to drink. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to each glass, pour over the hot lemon water, stir, and enjoy. This makes 3 glasses of approximately 200 ml each.
