Apple jelly with vanilla flavor

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter apple juice (from sour apples)
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 1 kg gelling sugar
  • 2 pinches of citric acid

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve the vanilla pods lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Combine the seeds and vanilla pods in a saucepan with the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10 minutes, then strain if desired. Pour into prepared jars and seal immediately. Pairs well with parfaits, foie gras, and duck.
