Quark-cherry casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 80 g butter
  • 4 eggs, including the yolk
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 500 g quark
  • 150 g semolina
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 750 g cherries
  • 4 eggs, egg whites beaten to snow

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Whisk the butter, egg yolks, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the quark, the semolina mixed with baking powder, the lemon juice, and the cherries, and mix. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake at 200°C (3-3.5 cu. ft.) for 35-40 minutes.
