Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 pack of dumplings, bread dumplings mini or dumplings from the previous day
- 100 g ham, cooked
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 100 ml cream
- 100 g cheese, grated Gruyère or Emmenthal
- 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
- 1 piece(s) of fat, for the mold
- possibly butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
with cheese
Prepare the bread dumplings according to the package instructions or briefly heat yesterday’s dumplings in a pan with butter. Then place the dumplings in the greased dish. Arrange the sliced ham over the dumplings. Whisk the eggs, cream and grated cheese, season and pour over the dumplings. Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven 200°C…fan oven 180°C/gas mark 3) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, or until set. Garnish with basil, if desired. Serve with baguette, with or without garlic.
