Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 500 ml water, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Melt the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it is liquid and dark brown. When the mixture is liquid, add the baking soda, then deglaze with the hot water. Caution: it will splash and bubble a lot! Bring to a boil for a few minutes while stirring. Pour into a bottle. Makes approximately 850-900 ml.
