Matjes fillet with apple and onion

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g smoked matjes fillet(s)
  • 150 g natural yogurt
  • 100 g Miracle Whip
  • 1 apple, sour
  • ½ onion(s), red
  • Pepper, black from the mill
  • possibly balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Fish made easy and quick

Peel and slice the apple. Peel the onion and slice into thin rings. Rinse the herring fillets with cold water and cut into bite-sized pieces. For the dressing, in a separate bowl, whisk together the yogurt and Miracle Whip until creamy and season with freshly ground pepper. Add a little more balsamic vinegar if desired. But be careful, the fish is already very spicy. Pour the dressing over the fish and mix with the remaining ingredients. Serve with potatoes or simply some bread and butter.
