Matjes with tomato and bacon salsa

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 herring fillets
  • 100 g bacon cubes, streaky
  • 20 g dried tomatoes, without oil
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

unusual combination – unusually good

Dice the tomatoes. Heat the butter and fry the bacon cubes in it. Briefly fry the tomatoes. Arrange the herring fillets on a plate and serve with the salsa. Mashed potatoes and beans go very well with this dish.
