Strawberry punch with beer and wine

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 200 ml beer (pilsner), not too bitter
  • 100 g brown cane sugar
  • 350 ml red wine (Dornfelder), semi-dry
  • 350 ml white wine, semi-dry
  • 1 bottle of sparkling wine or Prosecco to refill
  • 1 pinch(s) white pepper
  • Mint for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes

very fruity, aromatic and drinkable

Hull the strawberries and cut them into bite-sized pieces if they’re too big. Make sure they’re dry after washing. Sprinkle in the pepper and sprinkle the sugar over the fruit. You can, of course, adjust the amount of sugar to your taste, and stir the mixture gently. The pepper and brown cane sugar enhance the strawberry flavor even more. After about 15 minutes, pour the beer over the fruit and let it all sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Then add the red wine and let it sit in the fridge for another 30 minutes. Now add the white wine and let it sit for another three hours. Top up with Prosecco or sparkling wine just before serving. Enjoy the punch well chilled and garnish with a few mint leaves, if you like.
