Bean and tomato vegetables

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g beans, green
  • salt water
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Oregano, dried
  • Basil, dried
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash and chop the beans (I use French beans), and simmer in lightly salted water for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, finely chop the onions. Drain the beans, sauté the onions in a large pan, and add the beans. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. After about 5 minutes, add the tomatoes, simmer briefly, and season with herbs. Finally, add half a cup of sour cream and simmer briefly. Add chili, if desired. We serve this with plain turkey schnitzel and mashed potatoes.
