Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 60 g cashew nuts
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 bell pepper(s), baked, from a can
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 10 minutes

Soak the cashews overnight, drain the water, and blend them with 200 ml of water to a fine powder. Add the remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly. Heat the mixture in a non-stick pan with a tablespoon of oil and reduce while stirring. The cheese spread is especially good on pizza as a cheese substitute or as a dip for nachos or similar dishes.
