Vegan spread made from teff flakes and peanut butter

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 45 g flakes (teff flakes)
  • 40 g crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp spice mix (Berbere)
  • n. B. Water, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with African spice

Place the teff flakes in a food processor and cover with hot water. Allow the flakes to swell. Then add the spices and peanut butter. Blend until smooth, adding more hot water if necessary. Pour the spread into a jar and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for about two weeks.
