Grilled herb meatballs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 1 bulb(s) of Chinese garlic, cut into 6 pieces
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 eggs
  • breadcrumbs
  • Fresh herbs, finely chopped
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 12 pieces of aluminum foil, cut
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

grilled with and without garlic in aluminum foil

Put all the ingredients, except for the garlic pieces and of course the aluminum foil, in a bowl and mix well. Then form 12 meatballs from the mixture, pressing a piece of garlic into 6 of each. Brush the 12 pieces of aluminum foil with a little oil and wrap a meatball in each one. I twisted the 6 with garlic on top differently than the 6 without garlic so you can tell them apart. Place them in the refrigerator until you’re ready to grill them so they can cook properly. Grill the meatballs on a hot grill for about 8-10 minutes on each side. Instead of the eggs, you can also use 2 portions of egg substitute powder; that’s what I did, for example.
