Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-large pineapple, fresh
  • 500 g cooked ham (1.5 cm thick slices)
  • 250 g cheese, Emmental or Gouda (1.5 cm thick slices)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (Dijon)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 lemon(s), (the juice)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the fresh pineapple and cut the flesh into approximately 1.5 cm thick slices, then into cubes. Dice the ham and cheese and thread them alternately with the pineapple cubes onto 8 skewers. Mix the mustard with the oil and lemon juice, then season the marinade with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Brush the skewers with this marinade and let stand for 30 minutes. Then place the skewers on the grill for about five minutes, turning once. The cheese shouldn’t melt, as the ingredients are only being heated briefly. Instead of fresh pineapple, you can also use canned pineapple chunks.
