Annette’s popular quick dessert, simple and delicious

Melt the chocolate with a splash of milk in a saucepan. Stir the cooled chocolate mixture into the mascarpone and add the natural yogurt. Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar and cream stiffener until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the cream. Spoon half of the cream into glasses or a dessert bowl. Top with red fruit compote or thawed berries, such as fresh strawberries marinated in amaretto, or something red and fruity. Add another layer of cream. Decorate with white chocolate shavings and chopped pistachios. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This recipe came about because I was pressed for time after a spontaneous invitation and needed a dessert in a hurry. This exact dessert is something we’re constantly requesting – it’s quick and a hit with guests.
