Healthy fruit treats for children’s birthdays, something for the eyes, decoration for the buffet

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Place a slice of lemon on the top half of a plate to represent the sun. Cut sunbeams from the peel and place them on the sun. Set the rest of the lemon aside. Peel and halve the banana. Place one half of the banana on the plate to serve as the caterpillar’s body. Cut legs from the other half and attach them to the body. Rub all the banana pieces with the rest of the lemon if necessary to prevent brown spots. Peel the kiwi and cut them into small cubes. Place these on the plate below the caterpillar to represent the meadow. Slice the raspberries and place them on the meadow to form flowers. Use a wooden skewer, knife, or spoon to draw two eyes and a mouth on the caterpillar’s head using the melted chocolate. Cut a toothpick in half and attach one half to the right and one to the left of the head as antennae. Tip: You can also use chocolate sticks, an apple stem, or something similar as antennae.
