Potato and sauerkraut pot

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g potato(s), waxy
  • 2 onions
  • 2 bags of ready-made goulash mix
  • 500 g sauerkraut, fresh
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 1 tsp broth, clear
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut them lengthwise into eighths. Peel and slice the onions. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil with the potato eighths, onion strips, and the goulash mix, stirring continuously. Simmer for about 25 minutes. Add the sauerkraut to the stew, bring to a boil briefly, and simmer over low heat for 8-10 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and season the soup with broth and mustard. Garnish the finished dish with chives.
