Broccoli and cauliflower stir-fry with rice

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 small broccoli
  • 1 small cauliflower
  • 250 g minced meat
  • ½ liter of water
  • 200 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 bags of rice
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Trim the broccoli and cauliflower, separating the stems and florets. Fry the minced meat in a little oil in a large pan until browned and crumbly. Add the vegetable stalks, deglaze with half a liter of water, and cook covered for about 15 minutes. Then add the florets, season with salt and pepper, and simmer covered for another 15-20 minutes. Drain the rice and add it to the pan for the last 10 minutes. Finally, stir in the cream, bring back to a boil, season to taste, and serve. You can use meatballs or leftover meat from the day before instead of fresh minced meat, but the dish tastes great without any meat at all.
