Cold-stirred buttercream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 300 g butter, liquid
  • 2 packs of cream powder (vanilla cream of paradise)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

for cakes such as Frankfurter Kranz

Prepare the dessert cream according to the package instructions, but mix two packages into the milk instead of one. This works best with an electric hand mixer or blender. Mix in the 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar. The instructions usually say to whip the cream for 3 minutes, but this is actually much quicker since you are using 2 packages of dessert cream. When the cream is ready, fold in the melted but no longer warm butter by hand and stir until a smooth mixture forms. Now you can use it. If the mixture becomes too firm to handle, simply place the pan in a warm water bath and soften again for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. After using the cake, keep it refrigerated until ready to eat. For one Frankfurter Kranz, you might need to make 1.5 recipes if you also want to decorate it.
