Creamy hazelnut cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g hazelnuts (or a few more to taste!)
  • 1 tsp coffee powder, instant or
  • 3 tsp cocoa powder (Kaba drink powder)
  • 250 g quark
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml cream, fresh
  • 1 pack of cream stiffener
  • 2 cl cherry brandy, rum or brandy

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with fresh nuts from grandma’s garden a special treat

Chop the nuts very finely or, even better, mill them in an almond mill. Then combine them with the coffee or cocoa and mix thoroughly with the quark and sugar. Whip the cream with the cream stiffener until stiff peaks form and fold into the nut cream. Season with kirsch, rum, or brandy, perhaps garnish with a few nuts, and refrigerate until ready to enjoy. Serve with fine pastries and coffee or hot chocolate.
