Poppies with Plum Jam
The perfect poppies with plum jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 100 g Poppy seeds fresh
- 200 g Butter
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 medium size Egg
- 1 Glass Plum jam
- 250 g Spelled flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- Crush the poppy seeds in a mortar or grind in a coffee grinder.
- Mix the butter, sugar, egg and salt, then add the poppy seeds and finally the flour and knead everything into a dough.
- Chill in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Roll out the dough and cut it out. I made this with a flower cutter.
- Then in the preheated oven 160c for 10-12 minutes. Depending on the oven, this is how it works with mine.
- Let the cookies cool down.
- Gently heat the plum jam. Then place on the biscuits without a hole, then put the ones with a hole on top. Sprinkle with a little powdered sugar and put on a grid, ideally let cool overnight.
