Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Slice the mushrooms. Cut the bell peppers into thin strips. Slice the tomatoes. Coat the schnitzel in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, and fry them in a pan with fat. Keep the fried schnitzel warm in the oven. Briefly fry the onions in the fat, then add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Briefly fry the bell peppers, then add the tomato slices. Fry everything briefly. Fill the pan with a little water, but only enough to cover the vegetables. Season with stock and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Finally, add the ketchup and season to taste. Use the water sparingly, so you don’t need to thicken the sauce.
