Bishop's wine with cherries and cranberries

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter red wine
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 carnations
  • 200 g cherry(s) from the jar, with juice
  • 50 g cranberries, dried
  • ½ orange(s), untreated, zest
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), split

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Let the wine and the other ingredients steep in a saucepan for about 20 minutes; do not boil. Let cool, then remove the cloves and vanilla pod. Serve warm in heatproof glasses. Serve with a piece of chocolate or speculatius biscuits.
