Baked ostrich steaks with broccoli

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g broccoli
  • salt water
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 50 g almond flakes
  • 4 steaks (ostrich steaks, 180 g each)
  • some fat for frying
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of cheese (e.g. medium-aged Gouda)

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

quick and easy

Clean and wash the broccoli, divide it into small florets, and cook in salted water until al dente. Heat the butter. Toast the flaked almonds in it and set aside. Turn on the broiler. Wash the steaks, pat dry, and lightly season with salt and pepper. Fry in the hot fat for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Place a slice of cooked ham and cheese on each steak. Grill in the oven for about 3-5 minutes. Mix the broccoli with the almond butter and serve with the broiled ostrich steaks.
