Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 tsp cumin, roasted
- 2 tbsp coffee beans or espresso beans, dark roasted
- 1 tbsp chili powder (ancho)
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tsp sea salt, coarse
- 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

ideal for seasoning meat for the grill
Finely grind the cumin and coffee beans in a spice grinder or coffee grinder, then transfer to a small bowl and mix in the remaining ingredients. Brush the steaks lightly with oil and massage the seasoning mixture thoroughly into the meat. Cover the steaks and let them come to room temperature for 20-30 minutes before grilling. Tip: If you use a coffee grinder, it’s easy to clean afterward by grinding raw white rice in it. The rice will absorb the spice residue.
