Homemade Christmas chocolate

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g chocolate, dark or dark chocolate
  • 50 g coconut oil
  • 50 g speculatius (spice)
  • 50 g cranberries
  • 50 g almond(s), chopped
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon or gingerbread spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 25 minutes

as a small but fine gift from the kitchen

Slowly melt the chocolate with the coconut oil. Meanwhile, line a square baking dish (approx. 20 x 30 cm) with baking paper. Finely chop the speculatius biscuits and cranberries and mix with the chopped almonds. Once the chocolate has melted, gently stir it with a pinch of cinnamon or, alternatively, gingerbread spice – or another Christmas spice mix – until smooth and pour it into the prepared dish. If the chocolate doesn’t taste Christmassy enough, gently add another pinch of the spice mix. Now simply sprinkle the finely chopped ingredients evenly over the chocolate. Let it cool overnight and then break into pieces. Tip: This chocolate is always popular as a small gift for dear friends during Advent and Christmas. Simply stack the pieces on top of each other in small cellophane bags and decorate with Christmas ribbons, bows, and matching accessories. Maybe attach a little card that tells you exactly what’s in your homemade Christmas chocolate.
