Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 egg white
- 1 pinch of salt
- 75 g sugar
- 75 g desiccated coconut
- some jam to taste
- 15 baking wafers

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
makes 15 pieces
Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Gradually stir in the sugar until a thick batter forms. Fold in the desiccated coconut. Preheat the oven to 140°C (top/bottom heat). Place the wafers on a baking sheet and spread about a tablespoon of the egg white mixture on each wafer. Using a moistened finger, make a small indentation in the center of the macaroons and add a little jam. Bake the macaroons on the middle rack for about 20 minutes, then let them cool completely.
