Chicken drumsticks baked in beer batter

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken legs
  • 150 g flour
  • 60 ml beer, light
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 n. B. salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Fat (frying fat)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For the batter, whisk the flour with the beer until smooth. Separate the eggs and stir in the egg yolks with about 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Beat the egg whites until stiff and carefully fold in. Rinse the chicken thighs, pat dry, and skin them. Rub the meat with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 175 degrees Celsius. Dip the chicken thighs in the beer batter and immediately fry in the hot oil for about 15 minutes. Serve with a fresh salad and crispy potato wedges.
