Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 15 g brown cane sugar
  • 6 cl cachaça (sugar cane liquor)
  • ½ lime(s)
  • 1 passion fruit(s), ripe (shriveled and fragrant)
  • 10 ml passion fruit syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Cut the passion fruit into sixths and place it in a caipirinha glass. Add the juice of half a lime and the cane sugar, pressing it down lightly with a wooden muddler. The seeds go with the drink. If the mood strikes, you can throw the passion fruit peel at your fellow drinkers. Fill the glass with crushed ice, then add the cachaça and the passion fruit syrup. Stir with a spoon and serve with a thick straw.
