Summery refreshing punch with peaches

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg peach(s), very ripe
  • 50 ml schnapps
  • 5 ml cane sugar
  • 750 ml white wine
  • 750 ml sparkling wine or Prosecco

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 15 minutes

Wash the peaches, remove the stones, and cut them into small pieces. The riper the peaches, the more delicate the punch flavor will be. In either a punch bowl or a glass bowl, combine the sugar and schnapps, add the peach pieces, and pour in cold white wine. Let the mixture steep for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight. Just before serving, top up with a bottle of ice-cold sparkling wine or Prosecco. This recipe can be varied in any way you like: strawberries, blueberries, cherries, raspberries, mixed berries—they all work very well.
