Hawaiian Toast Swiss Style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 10 slice(s) toast bread, if possible fresh tin bread from the bakery
  • 10 slices of cheese (raclette)
  • 10 slice(s) pineapple, fresh or from the can
  • 20 slices of cooked ham
  • Mustard
  • Butter or margarine
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Spread a thin layer of butter and mustard on toast. Not too much, or the flavor will be overpowering. Place two slices of ham on top. Place a slice of pineapple on top of each slice. Place a slice of raclette cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit) until the cheese has melted. This takes about 15-20 minutes. If you like a cheese crust, wait until it forms. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve with a green salad.
