Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g pasta (macaroni)
- 200 g Cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 200 g meat sausage
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- salt and pepper
- 30 g flour
- 200 ml milk, maybe more or less
- 40 g butter
- some breadcrumbs
- some oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Macaroni and cheese with sausage
Cook the pasta. Preheat oven to 200°C. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped sausage and the sliced onion. When they are nicely browned, remove from the pan. Heat the butter in the pan. Add the flour and stir with a whisk until lightly browned. Then add the milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir until no lumps remain. Add the grated cheese and season with salt, pepper, and mustard. Mix the pasta with the sauce and transfer to a baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake at 180-200°C for 20 minutes.
