Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 200 g Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 200 g meat sausage
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 30 g flour
  • 200 ml milk, maybe more or less
  • 40 g butter
  • some breadcrumbs
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Macaroni and cheese with sausage

Cook the pasta. Preheat oven to 200°C. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped sausage and the sliced ​​onion. When they are nicely browned, remove from the pan. Heat the butter in the pan. Add the flour and stir with a whisk until lightly browned. Then add the milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir until no lumps remain. Add the grated cheese and season with salt, pepper, and mustard. Mix the pasta with the sauce and transfer to a baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake at 180-200°C for 20 minutes.
