Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 liter of broth
- 1 onion(s)
- 250 g rice
- 200 g cooked ham, diced
- 100 g cheese, grated
- 2 eggs
- 125 g sour cream
- 125 ml milk
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- some butter flakes

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Peel and chop the onion. Sauté in a little butter until translucent. Add the rice and sauté briefly. Deglaze with stock and bring to a boil. Let it swell until the rice is al dente (approx. 20-30 minutes), then drain. Layer the rice, half of the cheese, and the ham in a casserole dish. The top layer should be rice. Whisk the eggs with milk and sour cream, season with salt and pepper. Pour over the rice. Sprinkle the casserole with the remaining grated cheese and breadcrumbs. Place the butter flakes on top. Bake the casserole at 200-225°C for approx. 40-50 minutes.
