Sex on the Pan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 rusks
  • 400g Nutella
  • 500 g quark
  • 500 g whipped cream
  • 1 jar morello cherries, or fruits of your choice
  • 1 pack of cake glaze, red
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • possibly sparkling wine

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Super easy, super delicious!

For the base: Place the rusks in a freezer bag and finely crumble them using a rolling pin, meat tenderizer, or similar tool. Heat the Nutella briefly in the microwave (careful! Please remove all aluminum foil from the jar first!) or in a water bath. Mix the liquid Nutella with the rusk crumbs and pour into a baking dish, spreading the mixture evenly with a spoon and pressing down firmly. For the topping: Place the quark and whipped cream in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer until a creamy, but not too runny, mixture forms. Pour the cream onto the Nutella and rusk base and smooth it down. For the topping: Drain the cherries well, reserving 250 ml of the cherry juice. Spread the cherries over the cream and quark mixture. Mix the cherry juice with the sugar and the glaze, pour into a saucepan, and bring to a boil while stirring until the glaze thickens. Pour the glaze over the cherries. Chill the whole thing in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Tip: The cherries can easily be substituted for other fruits, such as strawberries or raspberries. The topping gets a special kick if you replace 100 ml of the juice with sparkling wine. The glaze will then taste a bit fresher. Of course, this is only suitable if no children are present. This dessert also makes a wonderful cake; simply use a springform pan instead of a baking dish; the quantities of ingredients remain the same.
