Honey chili chicken

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken breast fillets, approx. 150 – 180 g each
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ginger, freshly grated
  • ½ tsp Pul Biber
  • 100 g sesame, light
  • 80 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg(s), size M, whisked
  • some flour
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Cut the chicken breast fillets into approximately 2 cm thick strips. Mix with honey, soy sauce, ginger, and chili and marinate for about 2 hours. Mix the breadcrumbs with sesame seeds. Season the marinated chicken strips with salt and pepper, coat them in flour and egg, and coat them with the sesame mixture. Preheat the deep fryer to 180°C and fry the breaded chicken pieces until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Serve with your choice of salad and a dip, if desired.
