Easily Prepared Spare Ribs

  • 4 Rows Spare ribs
  • 4 tbsp Bbq spice mix e.g. Feinste Rubs No 5
  • Rapeseed oil
  • 1 bottle Bbq sauce
  1. Mix the rub with the rapeseed oil and set aside. Remove the silver skin from the bone side of the ribs and rub both sides with the rub. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Soak the wood chips in a little water for about an hour. The spare ribs are grilled indirectly (see picture). The ribs are on the grill for at least 4 hours. The temperature should be kept between 110 ° and 130 ° Celsius throughout the cooking time. Do not place the food on top of the charcoal, it is best to use a spare ribs holder.
  3. Place the first chips on the coals after 30 minutes and repeat three times every half hour. After three hours of grilling, brush the spare ribs with the BBQ sauce on both sides. Repeat this after half an hour.
  4. The spare ribs are ready when the meat can be easily detached from the bone ends.
