Potato Soup with Curry, Ginger and Saffron

The perfect potato soup with curry, ginger and saffron recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Bowl Potatoes
  • 3 cups Kohlrabisud
  • 1 kl. Shallot, chopped parsley
  • 1 kl. disc Fresh ginger (cut into small pieces)
  • 0,5 liter Chicken broth
  • 0,5 liter Colorful pepper mill
  • 0,5 liter Salt, garlic powder
  • 0,5 liter Curry
  • 2 Pinches Grated nutmeg
  • 2 Pinches Cinnamon
  • 3 Threads Saffron
  1. Sauté the shallot in butter and dust with a little flour while stirring.
  2. Then add a little kohlrabi brew and the curry.
  3. Then add the remaining kohlrabi stock and the chicken stock. Everything about 20 minutes. Simmer.
  4. Meanwhile add the saffron (previously soaked in a little water) and the spices and puree at the end, done!
  5. The soup can also be made without kohlrabi brew.
