Apple Rose Cake

The perfect apple rose cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 rounder Puff pastry
  • 70 g Almond powder
  • 150 g Applesauce
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 100 ml Water
  • 2 Lemons
  • 4 Apples
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  1. Place the purchased puff pastry with the paper in a cake tin. Trim the edges cleanly.
  2. Prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Spread the almond powder thinly on top.
  4. Spread the applesauce on top and then bake at 160 ° for 15 minutes.
  5. Bring the sugar to the boil with water and lemon juice.
  6. Quarter and core the apples. Cut into very thin slices – about 1mm.
  7. Let the apple slices soak in the water mixture for 10 minutes.
  8. Place about 5 apple slices on top of each other and roll into a rose.
  9. Distribute the roses on the cake from the outside edge.
  10. Bake at 160 ° for 15 minutes.
  11. Turn out of the mold and dust with powdered sugar.
