Dal Shorba
The perfect dal shorba recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 piece Clove of garlic
- 40 g Butter
- 200 g Lentils red
- 0,5 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 Can Peeled tomatoes
- 600 ml Vegetable broth
- Chili powder
- Salt
- Chop the onion and clove of garlic. Sauté together with the butter, lentils, turmeric and spices. Caution: do not let it burn! Add the peeled tomatoes, coconut milk and vegetable stock and bring to the boil without the lid. Let everything simmer on a low flame for about 20 minutes. Puree the soup and season with chili powder and salt.
