Earl Gray Cookies
The perfect earl gray cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Butter
- 120 g Sugar
- 3 tbsp Earl Gray tea leaves
- 320 g Spelled flour
- 1 pinch Cinnamon
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the tea leaves and cook in the butter for 3 minutes. Then take it off the stove and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Then you pour the butter through a sieve so that you can filter out the tea leaves. The filtered mass is now placed in the refrigerator for an hour so that it solidifies.
- After this resting phase, put the butter and sugar in a bowl and beat it until frothy. Add the flour and knead well. The dough is now wrapped in foil and placed in the cold for an hour.
- Then put the dough on a floured work surface and try to roll it out, although this could be a bit difficult due to the dry dough, we pressed it into shape with a spoon and then cut out shapes. The cookies are then placed in the oven for about 20 minutes at 170 ° C.
