Arnim’s Fried Potatoes with Aspic

The perfect arnim’s fried potatoes with aspic recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 550 g Waxy potatoes
  • 3 piece Tomatoes
  • 3 piece Fresh onions
  • 3 piece Gherkins
  • 2 piece Garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Mustard medium hot
  • 1 tsp Rubbed thyme
  • 1 tsp Rubbed marjoram
  • 2 tbsp Rama margarine
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Boil the potatoes as jacket potatoes, leave to cool. You can do it the day before. Here it was a spontaneous idea from Arnim.
  2. Dice the tomatoes, onions, pickles and garlic.
  3. Cut the potatoes into slices.
  4. 1 tablespoons of margarine in the pan and sauté the onions with the pickles.
  5. Heat the 2nd tablespoon of margarine in a second pan and fry the potatoes.
  6. Now add the tomatoes, garlic and mustard to the onions and pickles. Combine both pan contents and finish cooking. Mix in the spices such as salt, pepper, thyme and marjoram.
  7. We cannot preheat the plates here, otherwise the brawn will melt away.
