Arnim’s Fried Potatoes with Aspic
The perfect arnim’s fried potatoes with aspic recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 550 g Waxy potatoes
- 3 piece Tomatoes
- 3 piece Fresh onions
- 3 piece Gherkins
- 2 piece Garlic cloves
- 2 tsp Mustard medium hot
- 1 tsp Rubbed thyme
- 1 tsp Rubbed marjoram
- 2 tbsp Rama margarine
- Salt and pepper
- Boil the potatoes as jacket potatoes, leave to cool. You can do it the day before. Here it was a spontaneous idea from Arnim.
- Dice the tomatoes, onions, pickles and garlic.
- Cut the potatoes into slices.
- 1 tablespoons of margarine in the pan and sauté the onions with the pickles.
- Heat the 2nd tablespoon of margarine in a second pan and fry the potatoes.
- Now add the tomatoes, garlic and mustard to the onions and pickles. Combine both pan contents and finish cooking. Mix in the spices such as salt, pepper, thyme and marjoram.
- We cannot preheat the plates here, otherwise the brawn will melt away.
