Redcole Slaw

The perfect redcole slaw recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 800 g Fresh red cabbage
  • 150 g Onion red
  • 375 g Carrots
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 65 g Salad mayonnaise
  • 65 g Whole milk yogurt
  • 30 ml Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Mustard medium hot
  • Pepper from the grinder
  1. Clean, wash and quarter the cabbage. Cut out the stalk. Finely slice the cabbage. Mix the cabbage with 1 teaspoon each of salt and sugar and knead well with your hands (wear disposable gloves). Peel the onions and cut into fine cubes. Peel, wash and grate the carrots. Lift under the cabbage. Let it steep for about 30 minutes.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise, yoghurt, vinegar and mustard together. Season to taste with pepper. Mix the dressing and cabbage. Let it steep for at least 1 hour.
