Cabbage Noodles

The perfect cabbage noodles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Tagliatelle
  • 300 g Sauerkraut drained fresh
  • 1 size Onion
  • 100 g Smoked tofu
  • 1 Tl Paprika powder (smoked)
  • 1 Tl Liquid smoke (optional)
  • 100 ml Beer
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 0,5 Tl Ground caraway
  • Oil for frying
  1. Break the noodles in the bag. Then cook in boiling water until al dente.
  2. Finely chop the onions. Cut the smoked tofu into small cubes. Fry the onion cubes and smoked tofu cubes in hot oil until brown.
  3. Add sauerkraut to the onion mix and fry until the cabbage browns.
  4. Pour in the beer and broth. Stir in the bay leaves, paprika and caraway seeds. Simmer with the lid on for about 10 minutes, then remove the lid and simmer openly for another 10 minutes until the liquid has evaporated. Remove the bay leaves. Season with liquid smoke, if desired.
  5. Fold the pasta into the cabbage mixture.
