The perfect jam & co: carrot and apple spread with ginger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Apples, peeled and without a core
  • 500 g Carrots, cleaned
  • 1 Lemon
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 3: 1
  • 50 g Ginger
  1. Grate carrots, cut apples into cubes (a total of 1500 g fruit mass). Rub the lemon peel and squeeze and add the juice. Stir everything well and let infuse some juice (approx. 2 hours), then bring to the boil and simmer for approx. 10 minutes. Then puree with the blender. Peel and finely grate the ginger, add. Stir in sugar, bring to the boil again and simmer for about 3-4 minutes. CAUTION: Splashes enormously, put the lid on. If necessary, add a calvados at the end.
  2. Pour the spread into the prepared glasses. Screw on the lid (sterilize briefly in water beforehand).
