Low Calorie Barbecue Chicken Burger

The perfect low calorie barbecue chicken burger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 piece Whole wheat toastie
  • 100 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 4 Discs Cucumber fresh
  • 0,5 piece Fresh tomato
  • 3 Onion rings
  • 1 leaf Iceberg lettuce
  • 0,5 disc Gouda cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Paprika powder
  • 25 ml Knorr honey barbecue sauce
  1. First heat the oil in the pan. Then wash the chicken breast fillet and cut into long strips (long enough to fit exactly on the wholemeal toastie.) Season with salt, pepper and paprika on both sides. When the pan is hot enough, brown the chicken strips on both sides.
  2. Separate the wholemeal toastie in the middle and place half a slice of Gouda cheese on one half of the toastie. Leave both halves in the preheated oven to 180 degrees until the cheese has melted. In the meantime, wash the iceberg lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Cut the cucumber, onion and tomato into slices, pluck the iceberg lettuce onto the circumference of the toastie.
  3. When the cheese is melted, remove the toastie halves and make a dollop of barbecue honey sauce on each side. Then top with iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and onions. Take the golden-brown chicken strips out of the pan and place them on the toastie half. Finally, put a good dab of barbecue honey sauce on the chicken strips and place the other half of the toastie on top. Good Appetite !
