- Rapeseed oil
- 1 Heaped tablespoon Flour
- 250 ml Vegetable broth
- 250 ml Turmeric
- 250 ml Mild curry
- 250 ml Salt
- 250 ml Black bread cubes
Preface
- our dear, deceased grandmother used to make us children a brandy soup when the stomach was pinched or we were otherwise sick … we always tasted great and was a warm meal that calmed the tummy again. Of course, this soup was later also available for my daughter and then for the grandchildren … but now it is cooked in a “pepped up” and modernized version … it is very tasty and even today it keeps relieving the stomach .
preparation
- Cut the onion into cubes and sweat it in rapeseed oil – add the flour, turmeric and curry and roast briefly – gradually deglaze with the vegetable stock – stir the whole thing vigorously with a whisk so that no lumps form and nothing burns
- Let it simmer for 2 minutes while stirring constantly until the soup thickens nicely – add salt to taste and it is ready – if you like, you can sprinkle crispy black bread cubes on top in a little oil
