Chocolate Birthday Cake
The perfect chocolate birthday cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dough:
- 175 g Dark chocolate
- 250 g Butter
- 4 Eggs
- 100 g Sugar brown raw sugar
- 75 g Sugar
- 1 Pck. Vanilla flavor liquid
- 250 g Flour
- 100 g Cocoa powder
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 pinch Salt
- 350 g Sour cream
possible decoration:
- Gumpaste red, black, white, green
- Nutella (see my KB) for the border
- White decorative writing from the tube
- Possibly edible candle holders for Possibly rolled up bills
- Springform pan 24 cm in diameter
- Parchment paper
Dough:
- Line the baking pan with baking paper, grease the edge and put the pan in the refrigerator.
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, take the pan out of the water and gradually stir the butter into the chocolate. Provide. Preheat the oven to 200 °.
- Mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat the eggs and both types of sugar into a whitish-thick-creamy mixture. Add the vanilla flavor and chocolate butter and stir well. Sift in the flour mixture and stir in alternately with the sour cream.
- Pour the dough into the well-chilled tin and bake in the preheated 40-50 oven. If necessary, cover with foil at the end so that it does not burn. The dough must no longer adhere to the wooden stick sample. Let the cake cool well on a wire rack.
Decoration (who cares):
- Make a clover-leaf stencil out of baking paper: Place the springform edge on the baking paper and draw around it with a pen. Cut a clover from the circle and place it on the upturned cake (smooth bottom facing up). Cut along the contours so that the cake turns into a clover leaf.
- Now roll out the green roll fondant so that the cloverleaf template fits on it. Cut out the contours again and place the cut sheet on the surface of the cake. Lightly press.
- Now coat the outer edge and the incisions of the cake with Nutella.
- Shape the red and black fondant into ladybugs. From the red and white toadstools. Garnish the cake with it and trace the edge with the white sugar writing.
- Roll up the banknotes and put them in small candle holders.
Annotation:
- If you just want to bake this chocolate cake, simply brush it on top and all around with chocolate canache (see my KB) and decorate it as you wish …………
