Chocolate Quark – Cherry Cake

The perfect chocolate quark – cherry cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

for the ground

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 75 g Flour
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 0,5 tsp Baking powder

for the cream

  • 2 cups Cream
  • 500 g Quark 40%
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla sugar
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 Msp Ziutrons (organic)

for the cherries

  • 1 Glass Morello cherries
  • 1 P Red cake topping
  1. Line a baking sheet with a 24 x 24 baking frame.
  2. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff.
  3. Let the sugar trickle in.
  4. Sift the flour with the cocoa and baking powder over it and fold in with the egg yolks.
  5. Pour the mixture into the mold, smooth it out and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° top and bottom heat for about 30 minutes.
  6. Take out of the oven and let cool down.
  7. Whip the cream for the topping until stiff.
  8. Mix the quark with the vanilla sugar, sugar and lemon zest until creamy.
  9. Fold in the whipped cream.
  10. Spread on the floor and chill for at least 2 hours.
  11. Drain the cherries well, collecting the juice.
  12. Remove 3 tablespoons from the cherry juice (250 ml) and stir the icing with it.
  13. Bring the rest of the juice to the boil, stir in the mixed powder and let it thicken.
  14. Spread the cherries on the cream and cover with the icing.
  15. Set and allow to cool.
  16. Cut into pieces and enjoy.
