Chocolate Quark – Cherry Cake
The perfect chocolate quark – cherry cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
for the ground
- 3 Eggs
- 1 pinch Salt
- 75 g Sugar
- 75 g Flour
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 0,5 tsp Baking powder
for the cream
- 2 cups Cream
- 500 g Quark 40%
- 2 tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 75 g Sugar
- 1 Msp Ziutrons (organic)
for the cherries
- 1 Glass Morello cherries
- 1 P Red cake topping
- Line a baking sheet with a 24 x 24 baking frame.
- Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff.
- Let the sugar trickle in.
- Sift the flour with the cocoa and baking powder over it and fold in with the egg yolks.
- Pour the mixture into the mold, smooth it out and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° top and bottom heat for about 30 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and let cool down.
- Whip the cream for the topping until stiff.
- Mix the quark with the vanilla sugar, sugar and lemon zest until creamy.
- Fold in the whipped cream.
- Spread on the floor and chill for at least 2 hours.
- Drain the cherries well, collecting the juice.
- Remove 3 tablespoons from the cherry juice (250 ml) and stir the icing with it.
- Bring the rest of the juice to the boil, stir in the mixed powder and let it thicken.
- Spread the cherries on the cream and cover with the icing.
- Set and allow to cool.
- Cut into pieces and enjoy.
