Cherry Michel
The perfect cherry michel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Roll, from the day before
- 350 ml Milk, warm
- 3 Pc. Eggs
- 50 g Butter, soft
- 75 g Sugar
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 50 g Ground almonds
- 1 Glass Cherries Morello cherries
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 4 teaspoon Baking powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Cinnamon
- Drain the cherries (morello cherries) well in a sieve. Dice the rolls, pour the warm milk over them and let them steep until all the liquid has been absorbed (leave to steep for about 15 minutes). Separate the eggs. Beat the egg white until stiff, mix the soaked rolls with the egg yolk, butter, sugar, almond, cinnamon, vanilla sugar and baking powder and carefully fold in the cherries and egg whites. Grease the baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, distribute the dough in it and sprinkle with the sugar. Bake in a preheated oven (convection oven 175 degrees) for approx. 50 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce or powdered sugar.
