The perfect spices: mixture for meat … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Sugar brown raw sugar
- 30 g Sweet paprika
- 1,5 tablespoon Dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon Smoked salt
- 1 tablespoon Chilli (cayenne pepper)
- 1 tablespoon Black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Onion powder
- 0,5 tablespoon Garlic powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Lemon peel powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Freshly grated nutmeg
- Carefully measure all the ingredients, then put them in a screw-top jar, close the lid and mix thoroughly.
- A versatile meat seasoning “without preservatives” is already ready, with which you can rub or marinate many types of meat. To marinate, simply mix the spice with a little oil or, if you like, with red wine, lemon juice, raspberry vinegar or fruit juice and let it soak into the meat for a few hours before roasting or grilling.
- The spice will keep for several months in a sealed jar – as dark as possible. I prepare many spice mixes myself because I know what’s inside and can vary the ingredients according to our taste.
